In the mid-1970s, BECK, a German company, developed new markets and expanded its customer base by adding numerous industrial applications. In 1985, Beck proposed a differential pressure switch for fan monitoring in gas heating equipment. In the late 1980s, Beck was in the ventilation and air conditioning market with adjustable differential pressure switches for monitoring air filters and fans. In 2000, Beck improved its product line for this simultaneously important market, adding a differential pressure transmitter and improving the company's market position. At the same time, Beck still sees itself as a flexible niche provider, providing customer-specific pressure switches and pressure transmitters to Oems in many different domains. This great diversification of sales markets can be seen as an important factor in the company's success in international markets.
